Had an amazing dinner here tonight! The food was fantastic — especially the pizza and red wine recommended by Clara What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the warm and friendly service. Thank you for making the night so enjoyable. Will definitely come back!

A lovely neighborhood pizza / pasta joint near our hotel. Everything we tried was excellent and a perfect end to our trip. The pizza dough was light and flavorful. The place is very busy during dinner time so be prepared to wait.

Wow wow wow. I'm in Melbourne for a few days and today was my first full day in this beautiful city. After a morning walking around the Albert Park F1 circuit and legging it to the Botanical Gardens I had worked up quite the appetite. Being in a foodie city I figured I may as well Google wood fired pizza and Romo Pizza was the closest to my hotel. I booked a table online and walked down in the warm breeze. On arrival I was welcomed with smiles by the friendly staff and they seated me at the table. My order was placed and I got myself the Virginia pizza and a bottle of Italian Peroni (bonus points for authentic Italian). The base was light and fluffy, the toppings were generous and the cheese was stringy. I sat gazing out the window trying to work out when I could come back to Melbourne and visit Romo Pizza again to try more of their menu. Then it dawned on me that I can walk back down tomorrow for dinner again . Do yourselves a favour and get your hungry a$$ down to Romo Pizza for a meal that will make you happy but also sad because our stomachs can only fit a certain amount of food LOL. I WILL BE BACK!!!

This place was incredible! Service was great, I came when they were full and they made up a table for us outside. The bisque was amazing. It was slightly under seasoned so we asked for some salt and then it was perfect! Ragu was very nice as well. Want to come back for the Carbonara and Truffle pasta.

Got lucky as we were staying at a hotel right around the corner from this restaurant and we booked for the following night. The restaurant is quite small and you will need to book in advance. The pizza feels very traditional. Woodfire with fresh ingredients that left us feeling satisfied, but not bloated. We were able to enjoy a couple of pizzas and a few drinks before heading out for the night. Service was friendly and our food was delivered in a timely manner. I would definitely return here when in Melbourne next if I felt like some quality pizza.

Stopped by Romo’s as part of a trip to Melbourne (from Tokyo). In a nutshell, the vibes were good and the staff were attentive but I was rather disappointed by the pizzas. We got a margherita and one of their white pizzas. Was it bad? Not at all, just that Tokyo’s pizza culture seems to be more developed than Melbourne’s. The pie had a good crust, but could use more salt. The tomato sauce left a lot to be desired — it was rather sweet, and was missing some of the freshness/sourness I’m used to with high quality tomato sauces. The tiramisu was very good—however (and maybe it’s just the batch that I had) I felt that the lady fingers may have been soaked for just a tad bit too long, resulting in a watery/soggy texture that could have been avoided. Flavor was good. Overall was a fine experience, with lots of potential/room for improvement).

Nice little restaurant with good pizza but one dish lacking. The sardines have beautiful flavours but clearly made earlier in the day as they were stiff, dry and tough as a board. Had one of my favourite reds so left reasonably happy

Had dinner at Romo in Melbourne CBD and tried the Funghi Pizza and Bisque Pasta — both were well-executed and tasted quite authentic. The restaurant is small, but it has its own charm. Definitely wouldn’t mind coming back again!
